Elijah felt the tone of the warmer lighten up and he smiled at the more chipper girl. He chuckled before answering her question, “Let’s just say what I had to do I did to keep us both safe.” He said simply offering a gentle smile. “There are people out there that want to do bad things and I’m making sure they never get the chance.” he continued, “Anyway how was your day?” He asked changing the subject before it got too heavy.

Bambi rolled her eyeballs as he tried to change the topic. She didn’t really want to talk about her day, about how her friends were showing her off that they’re going to the valentine’s ball and she’s not because no one’s going to ask her and she didn’t have a dress. “It’s fine” she gave him a fake smile, not wanting to talk about it. “P.E was tiring tho” she added to make him believe.
